ベルリンマスターズ公式サイトのニュースコンテンツとしてリンクされた、GYMmediaに設置されているベルリンマスターズ記者会見の記事 Berlin Masters 2006: Today: press conference, training, excitement before the competition に選手のインタビューなどと共に2007年のグランプリシリーズのことが書かれていた。とても気になったのが下記の文章。

Concerning the international ranking of this tournament mentioned Heide Bruneder, representative of the Grand Prix Committee: The Grand Prix Committee has definitely proved it's value and is being held now for the 11th year. Every year more interested parties join it. 2006 we had nine tournaments, 2007 it might be ten or eleven. Maybe the series will continue also outside Europe, also Japan has mentioned their interest in holding a Grand Prix tournament."

今年9カ国で開催になったグランプリトーナメントは、おそらく来年は10か11の場所で開催になり、ヨーロッパ以外の地域でも催されるだろう。日本が新体操グランプリトーナメントを開くことに対して関心を持っている。と云うことみたいだ。

やるのか？ GPやるのか？ もしかしてこれから毎年日本でGP開催になるのだろうか。来年以降はイオンカップとGPの年2回国際大会が観れることになるのだろうか。近年新体操に並々ならぬ力を入れている三重県がやるのだろうか。トヨタが資本の新体操トヨタカップが設立されてもおかしくない。これは目が離せない関心事だ。未来の首都名古屋でGPやってちょ。
